An accident off Highway 1 in Southern California has left two men with serious injuries on September 13, according to the San Jose Mercury News. According to police reports, a 44-year-old man riding on a Suzuki Motorcycle collided with a 26-year old cyclist.
The accident happened in the afternoon near Año Nuevo State Reserve. Both men were taken to Stanford Hospital with serious injuries. It appears alcohol was not a factor in the motorcycle accident.
While investigators are still sorting out the facts surrounding the accident, it is a reminder of the consequences for both cyclists and motorists when they do not share the road. Always be alert and aware of your surrounding while cycling.
