San Diego injury attorney Joshua Bonnici applauds participants in the San Diego Bicycle Club’s 25th annual Toy Ride on Saturday. The slow-paced ride is lead by Santa Claus, and riders brought unwrapped presents for the Salvation Army to provide for needy families in San Diego.
Participants of all ages departed from the UC campus in La Jolla and rode for 50 miles. Dudek rode for his third straight year on a tandem bicycle with his partner from the Blind Stokers Club, which pairs blind cyclists with another rider on tandems.
Participants of all ages departed from the UC campus in La Jolla and rode for 50 miles. Prizes were awarded for the best-decorated riders.
“This is a wonderful event that brings Christmas joy to many people every year,” said Dudek. “In addition to the children who receive toys, many motorists and pedestrians cheer the sight of Santa and hundreds of cyclists on their way to deliver gifts.”
The San Diego Bicycle Club is the oldest organization for cyclists in San Diego and is open to men and women of all ages.
