San Diego Bicycle Accident Attorney Sheds Light on Chicago Police Officer’s Attempted Cover-Up

An off-duty police officer in Chicago has found himself in some hot water following an auto collision involving a bicyclist and his actions following the accident, according to SunTimes.com. According to reports, Michael Bergeson, 33, called police after he crashed his car into the cyclists, but claimed he did not know what caused her injury. The girl was riding her bicycle with her boyfriend riding behind her when she was struck by Bergeson in his F-150 truck. San Diego Bicycle Accident Lawyer Applauds Mayor Villaraigosa

In 2011, community organizers and legislators in Los Angeles approved a plan to expand and improve the bike paths throughout the city. Planning and funds were approved for 139 miles of bike paths and approximately 1,500 of bike lanes added to existing roads. The bike paths will make Los Angeles safer for…

Following Fatal California Bicycle Accident, Teen Driver Given Maximum Sentence

David Rosen was given the maximum sentence after pleading guilty to gross negligence for causing a fatal California bicycle accident in April, according to the San Jose Mercury News. Rosen was 17 years old when he struck Solaiman Nuri and his nine-year-old daughter as they were riding their bicycles on the sidewalk in Concord, California. Nuri was pronounced dead on the scene, but his daughter survived. Rosen, attempting to beat a light before it changed to red, accelerated his vehicle to 71 mph, crossed onto the sidewalk to pass cars ahead of him and struck Nuri and his daughter. Nuri was survived by his wife and two daughters. “Solaiman was an unbelievable father to these two girls,” said Senior Deputy District Attorney Dan Cabral. “They did not view their father as a father, they viewed him as a best friend.” Rosen turned 18 in October of this year. Because he…
