A Seattle cyclist was injured in a hit-and-run bicycle accident on August 5, according to The Seattle Times. The accident—which occurred around 2 a.m.—is the second hit-and-run with a cyclist in the past two weeks.
Police reports identified the victim as a 25-year-old man from Renton, Washington. A witness to the accident claims that he saw the cyclist his by a truck that proceeded to drive away. The witness followed the truck to a fast food drive-through and wrote down the plate number, according to the police report.
The victim—whose name was not released—was treating for minor injuries at Harborview Medical Center. Police tracked the truck down at the address of the registered owner, but were not able to immediately locate the driver.
