Bicycle Accident Attorney Joshua Bonnici Pursues Bicycle Safety Education And Awareness

San Diego bicycle accident attorney Joshua Bonnici passed another milestone in his ongoing bicycle safety education.  Fred recently completed the Traffic Skills 201 safety course offered by the League of American Bicyclists. He completed hours of road cycling and successfully demonstrated proficiency avoiding road hazards and common bicycle accidents. This course included a written exam as well as a road course test. Fred previously passed the traffic skills 101 course. Fred also participated in a Children’s Safety Event in September, sponsored by Old Navy. Fred discussed bicycle safety laws with the kids, as well as proper bicycle helmet use. As an avid cyclist and bicycle accident attorney, Fred values bicycle safety greatly, and he will continue to educate himself and the public on its importance. Bicycle Helmet Saves Life Of 4-Year-Old Boy

A 4-year-old boy in Urbandale, Iowa is lucky to be alive after a car hit him while he was riding his bicycle, according to the Chicago Tribune.  Apparently, a toddler who was playing inside the vehicle knocked the transmission into neutral, causing the car to roll and hit the 4-year-old.  The car rolled into a 7-year-old as well, before rolling over the 4-year-old boy’s head. His bicycle helmet saved his life.  Both of the children who were hit went to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.  This is far from your common bicycle accident, but it still a great example of a bicycle helmet saving a young life.  If you start practicing bicycle safety from a young age, children will become used to wearing a helmet and make it a habit. Young Boy Killed In Tragic Bicycle Accident

A third grade boy died in a tragic bicycle accident in Connecticut on October 3.  According to reports, 8-year-old Aidin-Paul Hannan flipped over his handlebars and suffered head injuries; he was airlifted to Baystate Medical Center where he later died.  He was not wearing a bicycle helmet at the time of the accident. The initial reports said the boy was struck by a car, but investigators do not know if a vehicle was involved. “I came to him and he was in a puddle of blood and was unconscious and not responding to anything,” said Paul Hannan, the victim’s father.  “This is the kind of thing every parent pleads with God to never let happen and, unfortunately, this happened.  Unfortunately, he wasn’t wearing a helmet.  I should have been stressing that more…I’m hoping that somehow we can prevent this from happening again.” This is a worst-case-scenario for any parent.  Children…
